Dearly beloved wife of Kent Lawrence. Loving mother of Gladys McDowell , Christopher Lawrence and Anthony Lawrence all of Oakland. Wonderful daughter of Alice and Hammond McDowell of Delhi, LA. Dear sister of Arlean Griffin of Dallas, TX, Lillian Turner of Delhi, LA, Essie McDowell of Delhi, LA, Ruby Jewel Lee of Compton, CA, Alex McDowell of Delhi, LA, LeRoy McDowell, Delhi, LA, Larry McDowell of Rockwall, TX, Christopher McDowell of Inglewood, CA and Lee May Thomas McDowell of Hitchcock, TX. Devoted grandmother of six grandchildren.Visitation will be held Tuesday; October 8, 2002 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a funeral service Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home. "Service of Marked Distinction"
