Dr. Ivan F. Martinez's Obituary
Dr. Ivan F. Martinez April 3, 1961 – December 4, 2014 Resident of Union CitySurrounded by his family, Ivan passed away unexpectedly, though peacefully, in his Union City home. He was 53 years old. This loving son was born to the late Brigido and Purita Martinez in Manila, Philippines – also where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Centro Escolar University. There, he made lasting memories and became a member of the PSI Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega.He moved to the Bay Area in 1989 where he subsequently met his wife, Jing. They married in May of 1996 and settled in Union City. He opened up a dental practice in Fremont. He was a devoted father and loved spending time and travelling with his family. He enjoyed playing golf and watching his favorite teams, the Golden State Warriors and the 49ers. He is survived by his wife Jing and their children Kyle and Myka; his siblings and in-laws: Joel and Lillian, Carlo, Dodjie and Marivic, Roy, Cecille, Florence and Raymund, Stephanie and Joper, Peter and Catrina, Paul, and Irene; and 18 nephews, nieces, and great nephew. Ivan will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
