Isaiah William Robertson Preyan's Obituary
A Legacy That Shines Forever
It is with profound sorrow and deepest love that we announce the passing of Isaiah William Robertson Preyan. Though far too young to receive his angel wings, Isaiah took flight on July 16, 2025. He is well remembered for his curiosity, bold authenticity, boundless empathy, and incredible talent. No one will forget the way this "old soul" could melt hearts, how his smile lit up a room, and how his kindness touched the lives of all who crossed his path. Whether you met him once or knew him a lifetime, he had a way of making you feel seen, valued, and loved.
At just 20 years old, Isaiah, affectionately known as Zeze or Zeke, left this world with a heart full of love, a life full of promise, and a spirit that touched everyone who knew him. Born on November 10, 2004, in Oakland, California, to proud parents Erin Robertson and Jermaine Preyan, Isaiah brought joy, laughter, and light from the very beginning.
His journey took him from California to Georgia, then to Florida and beyond- but no matter where he was, he made a lasting impression. Isaiah’s early years were spent in San Jose, CA where he graduated from Vinci Park Elementary School and attended Monroe Middle School. After relocating to Georgia, he graduated with honors from Luella Middle School in Locust Grove. He was a proud graduate of American Heritage High School in Plantation, FL, graduating with high honors and earning a full-ride, academic scholarship to Louisiana State University. He was a member of the Junior Beta Honor Society, the National Society of High School Scholars, and he dreamed of becoming a doctor.
During the summers, Isaiah interned with his mentor, Dr. Anup Patel, where he gained hands-on experience in the operating room. While he quickly learned technical skills, it was his natural connection with patients that stood out. He didn’t need to be taught how to care—he simply knew how to offer comfort, compassion, and hope. His patients, even the briefest encounters, remembered him-not for what he knew, but how he made them feel.
Isaiah was a die-hard sports fan who cheered for the Oakland Raiders, New Orleans Saints, and the Golden State Warriors. He shared passionate sports debates with his dad, Jermaine, and his grandfathers, Joseph and Namon. Isaiah also played football, basketball, baseball, and made history in track and field as Henry County’s first shot put winner, taking second place at a Georgia state competition.
Wise beyond his years, Isaiah was a devout Christian, baptized at twelve years old. He was a loyal parishioner of Paradise Baptist Church in Oakland and served as an usher. He didn’t just attend church—he lived his faith every day, lifting spirits and showing love through his words and actions.
Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
We miss you every moment—but we trust that you are now resting in God’s eternal care, surrounded by peace, love, and the ocean you so loved.
Job well done, Isaiah. Rest easy young prince. Rest free.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness…” — 2 Timothy 4:7–8 (NIV)
