Isabel Carol Tienda's Obituary
On May 16 2023, our mother/grandmother passed away surrounded by her love ones, our Beloved Isabel passed away at Eden Medical center in Castro Valley California at 7:30 pm.
Isabel was born in the Philippines July 8 1955 , to parents Henaro Alvarez and Trinidad Cortez.
Isabel lived on Treasure Island Naval base where she worked in the food industry. She moved around the Bay Area and the last city she lived in was Hayward CA. Isabel loved helping others. She would lend money and a place to stay to friends who asked for help. Her door was open for anyone to come sit and talk, drink coffee, and play bingo at home with her.
Isabel loved to cook, sing karaoke and dance. She loved to watch movies with her family and the TFC (The Filipino channel) she would go fishing and do other activities with her family when she was feeling okay to do so.
She loved to play bingo and would send her winnings home to her family in the Philippines to help them.
Isabel is survived by daughters, Maria Tienda and Linda Tienda. She had a daughter named Lourdes in the Philippines who had passed away a couple of years ago. She has grandchildren, Dominic Tienda, Julia Dela Cruz, and Nevaeh Terrado. Her grandchildren in the Philippines Ara Marie Juson and Mark Anthony Juson along with Ara’s 2 children & Dominic’s son Kairo! Another addition to Ara’s family a baby girl we just found out about! Her many family members in the Philippines who will miss you as well.
Her partner Ben Carrillo who she took the most care of. She always had a big plate of food waiting for him when he got home from work. Made his lunch for work, she took care of him! She took care of everybody! Friends & family love and miss you dearly!
Isabel was a warrior, she suffered many health issues but that didn’t stop her from doing anything she set her mind to! She is the strongest woman we have ever met. She fought to stay with her family. She was on dialysis for over 40 years, had many surgeries and 3 kidney transplants. She was in and out of the hospital but that didn’t stop her from making sure her family had the best Thanksgiving, Christmas and every Holliday! She will always be the strongest woman I’ve ever known! She was a great friend to anyone who needed one. Mother and grandmother.
She was an extraordinary role model for what a strong woman who would do everything and anything for her family looks like.
God called you home, there is no more suffering and pain for you anymore. I hope your mother and Lourdes welcomed you with open arms when you made it to heaven. Please continue to watch over us and send us signs you are near! You can finally walk and dance in paradise without any pain.
We Love you forever rest in paradise mom! Maria, Linda, Ben, Dominic, Julia, Nevaeh, Kairo, Ara, Mark and your many friends and family in the Philippines.
