Isabel Magante Abdon's Obituary
Isabel Magante Abdon passed away on August 31, 2018 following a long illness. She was born in Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines on October 2, 1930 to Maura & Jose Magante. In May 1971 she moved to California and has been a resident of Hayward for over 40 years. In Hayward, Isabel and her (late) husband Renato, co-founded the Hayward Santo Nino group in which they were both highly active members of. Prior to her illness, Isabel, shared her beautiful voice with the Choir of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Through Religion & Music, Isabel, known by many as “Chabeng” or “Lola Bebeng” has touched so many lives in her lifetime.She is survived by her children, Irma Ebarle (Renato), Ruben Abdon (Marjorie), Marissa Lopez (Reynaldo), Alvin Abdon (Celia), and Renato Abdon, Jr. (Lalaine); her sister Rosie Villanueva, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.The Matriarch of The Abdon Family is no longer with us in body, but in spirit she will always remain. She will be deeply missed and loved by all. She is now in Heaven sharing her beautiful voice with the Choir of Angels, in peace.
