Irish Taylor's Obituary
Irish Wynette Taylor, born September 7th, 1959, in San Mateo, CA, was the youngest of nine children to the late Clotiel Moore. Irish departed this earth on January 25th, 2026.
She lived in East Palo Alto for 25 years before moving to Los Angeles in the early Sos. Irish had a successful career at WOED West in Los Angeles, and later she sang professionally as a lead singer in bands as well as a solo performer. During those years, she performed at a prominent Japanese Jazz club in Osaka, Japan. Later, she met musician Larry Taylor at a local Jazz Club where they were both performing. Irish and Larry were united in Holy Matrimony on August 31, 1985. From this union, two children were born, Adam and Sarah.
She began a career in technology at NEC Electronics in Northern California as a Program Director. In the mid-90's to the early 2ooos, she worked at Sun Microsystems as an HR Manager. From the mid 2000s to 2016, she worked as an HR manager at Apple, Inc., and Genentech until she became ill in 2016
Irish lived the last ten years of her life under the care of her loving, caring, and devoted husband and children.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clotiel Moore; brother Kevin Moore; sister Rosalind Ross; and brother Larry Pollard.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted husband Hilery D. Taylor, Jr; two loving and devoted children, Sarah M.
Taylor-West and Adam J. Taylor; one son-in-law Michael West; two grandchildren, Eliana H, West and Elizabeth G. West; four siblings, Ruby Ann Russell, George Edward White Nizam Sundaita, Leander Woods, and Verdell Woods, ten nieces and nephews, i great nieces and nephews, 12 great, great nephews, and a host of close friends.
