Irineo Dulce Lontoc's Obituary
Irineo Dulce Lontoc, known to many as “Eny” was born on May 5, 1951 in General Trias, Cavite Philippines. His parents were Pedro and Antonia Lontoc. He was the fifth child of nine siblings. As a youth, he was remembered as jolly, fun loving, had a good sense of humor, kind and friendly. He was recruited to join the United States Navy in Olongapo City at the age of 24 and he served a total of 8 years. He then worked at the United States Postal Service for 27 years. After retiring at the Postal Service, he worked with the Alameda County as a Sheriff Deputy with the Homeland Security at Oakland International Airport for 7 years then he took full retirement in 2016. He had a great work ethic. Eny was survived by his wife Melita Castro Lontoc and his three children: Ronald Lontoc, his wife Mariel & children AJ, Giselle and Ryan. Rene Lontoc, his wife Arlene and child Elijah and Irene Lontoc Valiente and her husband Jourdan Valiente. He was a man of passions and hobbies. He enjoyed going out to the races at Golden Gate fields. He was a league bowler and an avid fresh water fisherman. He spent a lot of his time fishing at San Pablo Reservoir with his children and grandkids. He would brag about “Whoppers” to his boys and this favorite past time turned into a healthy competition between them. All his adult life, Eny was very kind to his friends and neighbors especially his friends from the Senior Center in Hercules and San Pablo. He was very popular, charismatic joke teller and well loved in his community of Salinian’s of Northern California and General Trias Family Association. Due to heart complications, Irineo passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017. He will be sorely missed by all the lives he touched.
