Irene DeMartini's Obituary
Irene Alexandra DeMartini Nov. 16, 1919~July 13, 2009 Longtime Castro Valley Resident Her career included work for the US military in World War II that still remains a secret to this day. Her hard work and inquisitive nature made her a wonderful librarian for the Hayward school district and a dedicated volunteer for many organizations. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Clow, son, Barry DeMartini and their spouses Jeff and Robin, her two grandchildren, John Clow and Michael Clow and their spouses, Shauna and Jennifer, and her great grandchildren, Michael Jr., Gerald, Alexandra and Jacob. She is also survived by her two sisters, Madeline Jackowski and Clara Kunze of New York. The times Irene and her husband John had with their many friends on trips and at gatherings will hold lasting memories for all of us. Mom’s smile when you brought her flowers from your yard will be missed. She is now with her loving husband John whom she missed terribly. A memorial service for her will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, at 10am on Monday, July 20th.
