Inge Phillips' Obituary
Inge Phillips went home to be with Jesus on December 9, 2019, at the age of 69. Inge was born on August 23, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York to John Phipps and June Sewell. In June of 1974, Inge married Alan Carl Phillips. In 1978 Inge and Allan moved to Richmond, CA and had their son Randal. She retired from Pacific Bell in 2005 as a 411-information operator. Her child, grandchildren, nieces and nephews remember her as a kind, gentle, loving, affectionate women who encouraged them to always pursue their dreams, goals and live life to the fullest.
Inge is survived by her Son, Randal Phillips, Daughter in-law Jennifer, Grandchildren Tia, Isaac, Alisha and Great Grandson Edgar, siblings Lance Phipps, Lonnie Phipps, Renee Bloom and Michelle Sewell and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Inge is preceded in death by her ex-husband Allan Phillips and her sister Valerie Phipps.
Many know Inge as a generous, caring, loving, selfless women who loved her family. Inge loved to talk about her family and made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Inge loved to travel, explore new restaurants and spend time with her grandkids. She loved to meet new people and share life experiences. Throughout her life, Inge opened her home and heart to those she loved and cared for. Inge was the glue holding her family together and will truly be missed by her family.
Inge’s celebration of life service is scheduled for January 13, 2020, at Harbor Light Church, 4760 Thornton Ave. Fremont CA. 94536 6PM, with a reception to follow in the foyer. Pastor Ron Macciola will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Inge’s life.
