Hope Garcia's Obituary
Hope Rosalez Garcia, age 95, passed away peacefully on Friday January 29, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 9, 1920 in Zamora Michoacan, Mexico to Dolores and Candelario Rosalez. She was the oldest of 9 children. After leaving Mexico she spent her younger years in Wyoming than settled into California where she made her home in San Leandro. Hope was a loving, caring, strong willed and hard worker. She held varies jobs throughout her years that included working on the farms in Brentwood, maid, working in the steel mill during WWII, and her final career as a glass inspector for Anchor Hocking Glass Company. She was an avid bowler, loved her slot machines, and spending time in gardens. She loved to go on road trips to site see and spend time with her family and friends. She welcomed anyone into her life with an open heart. Hope is survived by her siblings; her three children Dolores Suarez of San Leandro, James Fisher of Brentwood, and the late Robert Fisher of Antioch. She also was loved and cherished by her 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to her Mass service on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 1pm at The Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, 32992 Mission Blvd, (510) 474-0415, a celebration of life to follow.
