Hildene V. Witt's Obituary
Hildene Virginia Witt July 5, 1927 – May 9, 2012 Resident of Hayward Hildene Virginia Witt passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 with her husband by her side. Hildene was born in San Jose, CA, and grew up in Oakland, CA. She graduated from Oakland High School and earned her BS degree at UC Berkeley. She was a 35 year member of the American Fuchsia Society, volunteer at the Apple Orchard at Garin Park, Hayward, and an Advisory Board Member of the Hayward Zucchini Festival. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and doing crossword puzzles. Hildene is survived by her husband Herbert Witt of 56 years, daughter Virginia Davis (Merlin) of Mountain House, and daughter Deborah Witt of Hayward. She is survived by her three grandchildren, Stephen Ornellas (Teresa), Shaun Ornellas (Liz), and Sarah Emerson (Brandon), and four great grandchildren, Aryanna and Josalynn Emerson and Drake and Maxine Ornellas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Doris and Ed Siwik, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service for Hildene on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward at 1:30 pm
