Hideso Neishi's Obituary
Hideso Neishi Aug. 1, 1920 – May 7, 2012 Resident of San Leandro Hideso Neishi, 91, passed away peacefully at his San Leandro home May 7, 2012. Born on August 1, 1920 in Oakland, CA, Mr. Neishi was the son of the late Sadaichi and Kikue Neishi. He married Julia Seiji on June 10, 1950. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia; son, Alan; brothers, Torao, Hiroshi and Mitsugi; and sister Masako. Mr. Neishi was in the U.S. Army in the Military Intelligence Service during World War II. A retired nurseryman, he was an avid golfer and loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. He was a member of the Buddhist Church of Oakland, Golden Gate Optimist Club and Nurserymen’s Association. Mr. Neishi is survived by his son, Dan Neishi of San Leandro; daughter-in-law, Marcia Neishi of Castro Valley; grandsons, Mikey and Ryan Neishi, brother, Motomu Neishi of South Lake Tahoe, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and dozens of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, May 18, from 4:30pm to 8:30pm at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. Funeral service will be held on Sat., May 19, at 4pm at the Buddhist Church of Oakland, 825 Jackson St., Oakland, CA.
