Hideko Marie Nehira a Hayward, California resident entered into rest September 11, 2004 in San Lorenzo. Born in Tacoma, Washington on September 6, 1923, she was 81 years of age. She was educated in Hiroshima, Japan and survived the Atomic bomb. She was married in the United States in 1949. She was an accountant, real estate broker, notary, business owner and a member of Toastmasters. Loving mother of Kathy Tekawa of San Lorenzo, California and Elma Ure of Orinda, California. Dear sister of Yoshiye Sano of Japan, Akira Nakaio of Seattle, Washington and Kuni Furuta of Japan. Devoted grandmother of four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Jim Minoru Nehira. Friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service Saturday, September 18, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the San Lorenzo Japanese Christian Church, 615 Lewelling Blvd., San Leandro, CA .
