Heynner Henry Mora's Obituary
Obituary for Heynner Mora
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of our dear husband, father, and friend, Heynner H. Mora, age 57, on August 25th, 2022.
Heynner was born on March 21, 1965 in his beloved country of Costa Rica in the city of Turrialba. Born and raised in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, Heynner was a proud Tico but left in 1983 to pursue the American dream.
In the states, Heynner settled in the heart of the bay in Hayward, Ca and worked relentlessly to provide the best life for his family. He first got a job at a 76 gas station as he was assimilating in the states and took some classes at Chabot College in Hayward. He then landed his dream job working at the SFO airport with DHL where he worked for over 15 years. There he made lifelong friends that he still kept in touch with until this day. In more recent years, he became a bus driver at Google, one of the largest tech companies in the world. At Google, he drove a double decker bus and assisted his riders on their daily commute to and from work. He left a lasting impression not only on his riders, but on his colleagues as well.
Heynner had two daughters, Surema and Giselle and was recently married in 2019 to Cynthya, who had two children of her own, Fer and Yhara. Heynner loved his big blended family and always let it be known how proud he was of them. Heynner was a beloved father, husband, and a friend to all. He was the life of the party, was always willing to help others, and make everyone smile and laugh. He was carefree and his passion was to be outside, either working out or riding the trails on his bike with friends. He loved living in the Bay Area for its diversity and culture and was a huge sports fan. He loved his San Francisco 49ers, the Oakland A’s, and the Lakers. His favorite soccer club was Saprissa, the best team in Costa Rica.
We ask that you remember and honor Heynner by thinking of the times he made you laugh and smile. He would not want you to be sad for him as he is now home and has been reunited with his father, Jose Luis (Jote), and his brother, Jose, in heaven. As his last request, please take a shot of whiskey for him. We know he’s looking down on us and saying, “Ay mae, pura vida!” with the biggest smile on his face.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthya, his four children, Fer, Yhara, Giselle, and Surema, and his family and friends.
