Hershall Ray Story's Obituary
Hershell Ray Story A resident of San Leandro CA was called home to be with the Lord on June 2nd 2017 he was 83 yrs old. Mr. Story worked for Owens/Brockway Glass in Oakland CA for 42 yrs Until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed restoring his Classic 1959 Corvette finally finishing his baby in2006. Shortly after finishing his Corvette he had a stroke which prevented him from ever been able to drive again. So he never got to test out his baby. But he did enjoy the ride his daughter took him on in his Car. It was his pride and Joy. His most enjoyment was his family. Especially his Grandchildren and Great Granchildren. His whole world would light up whenever he got to see them. Family was everything to him. Mr. Story always seen the best in everyone. He would drop whatever he was doing to help others. He always said Its pays to help other people, or We have to try to help , it’s the right thing to do. The one thing that was important to him was we never turn our backs on our family. Mr. Story had a very strong belief in the Lord, been that he was raised in a Christian family. Those who had gone on before him are his Parents William & Flossie Story, his brothers Calvin, Harold, & Marshall Story. He is survived by his last sibling Nadine Clark of Long Beach CA, His son Rick/Jeannie Story of San Leandro CA, His daughter Linda Story of San Leandro CA, His Grandchildren Jason/Gina Story of Pleasanton CA, Sheree/Jeremiah Ross of Castro Valley CA & Justin/Michelle Mendiola of Fairfield CA. His Great Grandchildren his most pride and Joy, Nolan, Madelyn, Brooklynn & Taj.
