Bailen, Herminia Burgonio's Obituary
Herminia a.k.a “Mining” or “Minnie” is remembered as a strong and resilient woman. She was born in the Philippines on July 8, 1938 to Hermogenes and Pia.
As a devoted Catholic, Herminia talked about how she loved being in her Convent during her youth in the Philippines. This experience further developed her goodwill to serve humanity. Her passion for working in healthcare extended past her decades-long career. She always put the comfort of others before herself. She did her best to care for everyone around her, often researching new home health remedies or countless recipes to feed her family. She kept herself busy and rarely was seen taking a break. Her talents included writing, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and other activities that expressed her creativity and attention to detail. She taught everyone the importance of diligent work, how to take good care of themselves, spend money wisely, give to those who are in need, and always thank the Lord for each new day.
Herminia blessed this earth with her loving presence. We miss her calming hugs, sense of humor, and selfless attitude. She is survived by her husband (Josepatro Bailen); two children; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. They will forever cherish the memories, stories, and advice that she shared. She is an inspiration and her loved ones will continue to model after her ways.
