Herbert Foster, Jr.'s Obituary
HERBERT C. FOSTER, JR. Herbert C. Foster, Jr., age 81, passed away peacefully October 19, 2006. He was born May 10, 1925 in Portland, Oregon. Herb resided in Castro Valley since 1946 following service in the Navy in World War II. Herb was preceded in death by Myra, his beloved wife of 48 years. Herb and Myra were much loved and respected by all who knew them. They were well known for their hospitality and kindness. Herb is survived by sons Steve, John, Dan; daughters-in-law Brenda and Christine; grandsons Eric, Ken, Sean, and Nate; great grandchildren Austin, Victoria, Mason, and Avery; cousin David Popp, and many friends. He was a longtime member of the Free Masons. Herb enjoyed home projects, traveling with Myra, and visiting family and friends. Herb was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His love and dedication to his family and friends will be truly missed. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
