Helmut Schober's Obituary
Helmut W. Schober of Hayward passed away on March 18, 2012 from cancer at the age of 80. Born and raised in Germany, he relocated to California in 1951 with two brothers and two sisters and eventually was able to bring his Mom and five more siblings over as well. After serving 2 years in the U.S. Army, he became a well respected self-employed paint contractor in the Bay Area for over 50 years. He enjoyed playing his accordion, traveling, playing cards and spending time with his family. He will truly be missed by all of those who knew him. He leaves behind Margaret Schober, his beloved wife of 56 years. His 3 sons, Helmut, Jr., Roland and Kurt, 2 daughter-in-laws, Tina and Emily, and 5 grandchildren. Services will be held 1:00pm, March 23 at the Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward
