Helen Pedro's Obituary
HELEN PEDRO Passed away peacefully Sunday evening at Eden Hospital in Castro Valley with family at her side. Helen was born in Van Lear Kentucky in 1931 and resided in Paintsville, Kentucky until she moved to California in 1950. She was a long time resident of Hayward. Helen was a member of Halcyon Baptist Church in San Leandro. Helen was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Pedro and is survived by her children: Larry Snow, Cherie Pedro-Collins, Sharon Kelly, Joseph Freitas, Bruce Pedro and eight grandchildren. She is survived by siblings, Buster Harper, Kathleen English, Pauline Hall and Bill Harper. Her brother Eugene Harper preceded her in death. Helen was a loving woman with a free spirit. She will be greatly missed by family, friends, and those who cared for her at the Evergreen Convalescent Home in Castro Valley. Services will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Viewing hours will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, March 29th. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the Mission (South) Chapel.
