OBITUARYHELEN MAY WEER COSENTINOBorn March 10, 1933 – Died January 28, 2019Resident of Hayward, CaliforniaHelen May Weer Cosentino, age 85 years, peacefully entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, January 28, 2019.Helen was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 10, 1933 to Blair and Jessie Dick. Helen was born into a large family with 4 other siblings, Leroy, Patricia, David and Lorraine.Due to the financial hardships of the times, Blair and Jessie were forced to seek adoption for three of their children. Helen was one of those selected.Helen was legally adopted by William LeRoy and Alice Weer on December 17, 1937. Until her final breath, Helen always considered LeRoy and Alice to be her rightful parents.Helen was Baptized on February 18, 1945 at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Helen was a lifelong follower and believer in the Catholic faith. Helen believed and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Helen graduated from Las Vegas High School, Class of 1949. She attended a number of colleges and universities in her life, however we cannot nail down dates or the names of the educational institutions that she attended.Helen began her professional career at the Crown Zellerbach Company in San Francisco. Helen then worked at the Campbell Chain Company in Union City, California. Lastly, she worked at the University of California, Hayward Campus, for many years until her retirement in 1990. Through all her years of employment, Helen was a successful accountant.Helen was married to Joseph Cosentino in 1968 and they enjoyed many happy years together. They shared the blessings of faith as members of the St. Bede Catholic Church in Hayward, California. Helen and Joe never had children. (Helen did adopt a few pets in het later years!)
