Obituary ofHector Pineda Lumba Aug 8, 1956 – June 24, 2015Hector Pineda Lumba fought his last fight in the battle against lung cancer on June 24th, 2015. He peacefully passed away at the age of 58 in his home in Union City, CA with his loving son, his son’s girlfriend, two daughters, and two granddaughters by his bed Hector began his life in the Philippines on August 8th, 1956. He is the oldest of 10 children, 9 of whom are from the late Manuel Lumba and the late Jesusa Pineda, and the youngest sibling from Marisol Lumba, his stepmother. Hector grew up with his 9 brothers and sisters in San Basilio, Santa Rita in Pampanga, Philippines. At a very young age, he found a passion for construction, specifically in electrical work which he carried with him most of his adult life. After trade school, Hector married Dolores Olimpo Nadal on May, 13th, 1983. Shortly after, he, his wife, and two small children moved to live in the United States. Hector would have his third child in 1986 and raised his family in Hayward, CA and finally settled in Union City, CA. He worked for Rex Moore Electrical Contractors and Engineers for 20 or more years. Hector loved spending time with his family, watching all kinds of sports, listening to his music collection, and repair and build items around the house in his spare time. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Nadal Lumba, his son Geoffrey Nadal Lumba, his two daughters Kathrynn Lumba Voly and Kayleen Nadal Lumba, and his granddaughter, Thaila Lumba Buaphan.
