Harry William Hoffman Jr, 71, beloved husband and father and friend died Friday, May 14, 2004, in Hayward, Ca.Harry was born July 27, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to the late Harry Senior and Grace Hoffman. He leaves behind Faye Hoffman his beloved wife of 50 years; a sister Shirley Norcross of Guys Mills, Pa.; a brother Paul and his wife Susan Hoffman of San Leandro, Ca, daughters Julie Warda of Union City and Janice Martinho of Hayward and four grandchildren; Sarah, Christopher, Justin and Jacob; mother-in-law Doris Fincher of Hayward; sister-in-law Linda and her husband Jim Gould of Red Bank, New Jersey; brother-in-Law Jim Fincher of Hayward; also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.Harry was a graduate of Cal State Hayward and a Navy Korean War Veteran. He was the Superintendent at the Alameda Naval Air Station for a total of 37 combined years of service.Harry was an avid 49er fan and Treeview Little League supporter.His passion was his family and golfing.The family prefers donations to be made in his name to the American Cancer Society. Memorial services will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday May 19, 2004 at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward,Ca 94544.”Service of Marked Distinction”
