He was born in San Francisco, CA, went to San Leandro High School, worked many jobs, from a gas station attendent, made molds at a glass company, worked as a janitor and worked his way up to a machinist and then supervisor. He retired after 25 years as a machinist at the age of 70. He was a wonderful man who loved God and his family. He had a gift for carpentry loved using oak and koa wood, building rolltop desks, hall tree's, cat houses, crosses, bible scrolls, etc. He was an animal lover through and through from parrots, dogs and his beloved cats. He enjoyed working on his old pickup truck, teaching his children how to do things like change a tire and oil on their cars. Loved camping in his old camper and camping with his neighbors Jim and Beverly. He enjoyed 50's music, old movies, and hanging with his best friend Guy Bueno. Harold loved to joke around, laugh and have a great time. Most of us knew him as "Bill" a childhood nickname that stuck. He also had unwavering love for God and the Bible, he studied it inside and out. He was so proud that he was so versed in the Bible. He also sought to learn about diffrent faiths and cultures. Enjoyed spending time with his extended family in Hawaii. He loved growing early girl tomatoes and tinkering around the house. He was an amazing, generous, and loving man. The past five years were spent with his loving wife, who took care of him. They enjoyed spending days laughing, joking and talking about everything. He loved walking the trail behind his home and rode his scooter when they walked their dog. He was very ill but never let anyone know how sick he was. He always wanted to be positive about life. He definitely fought till the very end. He will be greatly missed. There will be no formal services for Harold. His interment will be for immediate family and close friends only on October 4, 2024 at 1 pm in the Circle of Peace Ring of Illumination building at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward CA.
