HARBHAJAN SINGH AGROIA's Obituary
Harbhajan Singh Agroia age 79; shy of his 80th birthday this year, of Newark, California passed away on January 29th 2018, died peacefully in his sleep after battling years of Dementia.Harbhajan Agroia was born in Punjab, India on April 17th 1938. He was very ambitious, hardworking, adventurous and continued on to receive his engineering degree at the Engineering College in Chandighar, Punjab. He came to the United States in 1971 and established his first home in Union City, California. Amarjeet Agroia (wife) and Moninderjeet Agroia (oldest daughter) soon followed in 1973 to reunite with Harbhajan and the Bay Area became their new home.Harbhajan Agroia was married to Amarjeet Agroia on December 21st, 1969. They were married for 49 years and had 4 children.Harbhajan worked as a civil engineer for BART for 35 plus years. He enjoyed working, traveling, random road trips, socializing, and being around his loyal friends and family. Throughout the years, he established large network of friends here in the Bay Area and abroad in India, Canada and Europe. Fun Fact: he also enjoyed watching WWF wrestling shows with his kids in the 80’s and 90’s.Harbhajan is survived by Amarjeet (wife), Moninderjeet Agroia, Harmeet Agroia, Inderjeet Jegan and Harjeet Agroia (children), Maya and Isha Lewis, Dylan and Sean Jegan (grandkids) and many other family and friends.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations Optional may be given to The Agroia Family. The family of Harbhajan wishes to thank Chapel of Chimes, Gurdwara Sahib of Fremont and all of our friends and family for taking their time to celebrate his life and his love he has given to each and every one of you.
