God allowed me the honor of sharing precious moments with Gwynne while attending Bible studies that were given as part of East Hills Community Church of Oakland’s ministries. When traveling to Evie and Jim Berg’s in Livermore I would pick Gwynne up at his house in Castro Valley and together we would share in the wonderful things of the Lord as we drove along the freeway. I will never forgot how Gwynne always told me how important it was to be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and I will always remember how when driving I would notice Gwynne looking at me so I would turn to look back at him and he always had that genuine smile on his face as he would tell me ” God is so wonderful”. One day when I was talking with Gwynne, I told him how much I had learned from him and he gently corrected me and said ” You have learned it from God “. Gwynne is home now, and I can still see his smile in my mind, and I do not refer to him in the past sense because the only thing in the past sense is his body which no longer houses his Soul and Spirit. He is alive and well in the presence of the Lord, and those of us who are true believers and members of the Body of Christ will re-unite with Gwynne one day soon. So for now, I am so very very happy to know in my Heart that Gwynne is in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Gwynne… about the most humble man God has given me the honor and privilege to know. I miss you my Brother.
