Gurdev Kaur's Obituary
With heavy hearts and deep reverence, the family announces the passing of Gurdev Kaur, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and steadfast soul whose life was rooted in seva, simran, and unconditional love. She departed this world peacefully in San Leandro, California, returning to Waheguru’s embrace after a life lived with grace and resilience.
Born in the fertile fields of Punjab, Gurdev Kaur carried the warmth of her homeland wherever she went. As a loving Punjabi mother of three sons, she poured her strength, compassion, and quiet wisdom into her family. Widowed early in life, she faced every challenge with the courage of a true Sikh woman—never complaining, always giving, and forever trusting in the divine will, Hukam.
A dedicated homemaker, she created a home filled with the fragrance of fresh roti, the sound of gentle prayer, and the comfort of her steady presence. Her hands worked tirelessly, her heart gave endlessly, and her spirit uplifted all who came near her. She lived by the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, embodying humility, kindness, and the belief that “Naam is the anchor of life.”
Her legacy lives on through her sons, her grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and quiet strength. Though she has left this earthly realm, her light continues to guide her family, like the eternal flame of the jyot she kept burning in her home.
May her soul find peace in the eternal sanctuary of Waheguru.
