Grant is survived by his stepsons, David W. McCarty of Ohio, and James D. McCarty ofAlabama; his close friend of 51 years, Bingham B. Livermore, and his wife, Mae. Grant was an AC Transit bus driver for 35 years, and a 5-year WWII Army medical corps veteran who served in .
