Grace Charlotte ChoateMarch 12, 1919 ~ January 1, 2007Loved and Missed Grace was born in South Range, Michigan. Graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Laurium, Michigan in 1937, She married Carlton Choate who preceded her in death in 1973. Grace moved to Arizona to live with her aunt Ruth. She worked in retail sales for forty eight years. Grace retired from Walgreens in 1985 and moved to California in 1987 to live with her son Charles and wife Dona. Grace was very active in the community, she was instrumental in starting the women's club at St. Edward's Church in Phoenix, Arizona and volunteered at many function in California, she joined Transfiguration Church, Hill and Valley Women's Club and Redwood Senior Center, An avid Crafter, Grace took great pride in her handy work and Enjoy shearing her skills with others. Grace leaves to cherish her memories her son; Charles Choate of Hayward, California, Daughter Joan Schofield of Gladwin, Michigan, four grand children, many great grand and great great grand children as well as many family members in Florida, North Carolina, Michigan and Arizona. Preceded her in death; Husband Carlton Choate, Son Norman Charles and Brother William Richards. Service will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Grace will be buried at Flint Memorial Park in Michigan, In Lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made to your favorite Charity or to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
