Gloria Salguero's Obituary
Gloria Salguero gained her angel wings on September 4th, 2021.
Gloria is survived by her spouse Steven Salguero, her daughter Gloria L. (Jesus), her daughter Stephanie S. (Nelson), her son Steven S., and her son Orlando S. Gloria was married to Steven Salguero for 57 years and they met in 1964, when they first began their journey in life together.
Gloria contemplated pursuing a career as a pastry chef but decided to dedicate her services to those in need. She spent the majority of her working life in the healthcare industry. She assisted patients with Alzheimer’s and aided in hospice care. Prior to her retirement, she had a career in environmental services.
Gloria was talented in various aspects of her life, including but not limited to her incredible baking skills. She thoroughly enjoyed reading and immersing herself in various types of literature. In addition, she enjoyed watching science fiction films in her spare time ranging from mystery, thriller, and science fantasy. Above all, she found herself always ready and willing to embrace new challenges. She never limited herself, nor did she ever hold herself back from experiencing all that life has to offer.
Gloria knew how to live life to the fullest as she traveled, enjoyed learning about other cultures, and was primarily interested in Asian cultural practices, mainly Chinese and Japanese philosophy. Additionally, she enjoyed her saltwater fish hobby in her spare time, including a favorite Humu Humu fish named Picasso.
She was graceful and a remarkable woman, a wonderful mother, and instilled the importance of family values and traditions. Mom shared her beliefs in the importance of a healthy, positive life, to be at peace, to love one another, to be strong, to accept the things we cannot change, to have the courage to change the things that we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Gloria’s life would seem short to many, but to family and friends who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceeds the time in the physical world. She will forever remain alive in our hearts and memory.
