I was so honored to become facebook friends with Gloria. Prayers for all her family and friends.
Dear Gloria and Billy:
It was an honor being your friend. Thank you for your trust and inviting me into your home. I treasured all the times we ever spent together. We had so much fun at all the local Bay Area reunions, and other events like the 75th Roller Derby Anniversary and going to Dolby Studios, etc. I thank God the we met. I Iove and will miss you both.
Gloria, it was also an honor skating with you on the track after the games at Kezar Pavilion and the Pleasanton Fairgrounds,
What I learned from Gloria is to always have a Positive Attitude.
My condolences to Gloria's family and friends. Gloria was one of the kindest, warmest most welcoming people I've ever met. I met her at my first Roller Derby reunion in Laughlin, Nevada, along with her husband Bill. Gloria didn't care if you were a skater or a fan, she welcomed you with a smile that could light up a room. It didn't matter what era of Derby you knew, you were already a part of the Derby Family in her mind. We became friends the first time we sat and talked. I will miss talking to her and reminiscing. Heaven has truly gained another angel. RIP Sweet Gloria - so many people will think of you often and miss you.

It was such a pleasure to meet Mrs. Gloria Gardener. I met her husband Bill too. They were legends in the sport of Roller Derby. A sport that was so popular when they skated. Gloria and Bill were super sharp people. I don't know how Gloria even survived once the love of her life, Bill died. She was a strong woman. She was smart too, getting online on all the Roller Derby Boards and sharing so much. I adored her, I really did. May her family know that she was admired and loved by many. Sincerely Dave Marez.
Our ride or die trio. We will miss you forever. Love you always❤️
