Gloria L. Garcia's Obituary
Barbara E. Hill, resident of Hayward, passed away peacefully at Eden Hospital in Castro Valley on December 11, 2011. She was born on July 19, 1930, in Tampa, Florida. She lived there until the late 1950's and then relocated to Ontario, CA. She landed her first job at Southern CA Aircraft, climbing on T-28 airplanes to place decals for WWII. Shortly after she took a job with Pac Bell as a switchboard operator. AT&T took over and after 30 years, she retired in 1989. Since then her life has been dedicated to her great-granddaughters, as well as her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Barbie Suazo and son-in-law, Jeff Suazo, granddaughter, Lisa Conway, and her two great-granddaughters, Ashley Monique and Brandy Sheree. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Frank and Annie Altman, her sisters, Idell Raymond, Lois Alphin, Merle Simpson & Georgie Peel, her brother Frank Altman Jr., her son, Harry Alvin Jr., and her granddaughter, Jennifer Mayer. Affectionately known as 'Grammy' or 'Granny', she will be missed by all those who were blessed to know her.
