It seems meaningless to begin this with ‘Dear Mom’ as we all know words left unsaid will never be heard. For this reason, I am so glad that I told you I loved you each and every time I was with you. I expressed often that I did not know how you managed to raise ten children and paid tribute to the enormous sacrifices you made to do so. Dad was a very lucky man to have a wife as devoted as you were. As first born, my life story differs from my siblings; I paved the way and it was sometimes difficult. For 23 months, I was your ‘only’; for 60 years and 7 months, you were my ‘only.’ Rest in peace mom, and please hold Dennis tight. I know he has missed you as you have missed him deeply.
