Glimmia LaVerne Ury, 87, died at home on May 29, 2020 with loved ones by her side in Hayward, California.
She was born October 26, 1932 in San Leandro, California to Joseph and Laura Beck. Her father was a career Navy man and her mother was a homemaker in Alameda County.
Her interests included family, sewing, jewelry making and road trips to the casino. She loved to laugh and be silly and always brought a light to every room she entered.
Glimmia is survived by her daughter Laura Grimaldi and Laura’s three children Douglas, Jordan and Delaney; and daughter Rebecca San Filippo and spouse John and their two children Jennifer and Rachael.
She was preceded in death by her son, Norman Leabig and husband of 35 years, Donald Ury.
