Gilbert P. Garcia a Hayward, California resident entered into rest Thursday, September 12, 2002 in Hayward. Born in San Leandro on March 30, 1926, he was 76 years of age. He retired from Peterbilt Motors after 42 years of employment. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Giants and 49ers. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #391 of Castro Valley. Loving father of Florence Dadey, Katherine Garcia both of Hayward and Leslie Garcia of Manteca. Dear brother of Bobbie Straubel of Tempe, AZ, Rene Santucci of Castro Valley, Glenn Frater of Santa Clara and Leslie Frater of Hay Fork, CA. Devoted grandfather of ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2002 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a funeral service Thursday, September 19, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park; 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544. 'Service of Marked Distinction'
