Gerald Sidney's Obituary
GERALD SIDNEY “Sidney” passed away suddenly on March 20, 2008 in Oakland. He was 63 years old. Originally from New Orleans, LA, he relocated to San Francisco at an early age and spent the last 34 years as an Oakland resident. He retired from AC Transit as a mechanic after 12 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. He will truly be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Shirley Sidney. He is also survived by his children, Bruce Sidney, Ametrius Sidney-Smith, Andrea Sidney- Wilson, Carole Watson, and Chanaya Watson. Two son-in-laws, Dotwan Wilson and Jeff Smith. And seven grandchildren: Torren, Trinity, Jamaurie, Briana, Andrew, Treyvon, and Amari. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores “Dee” Blane, and his brother, Isaac January. Services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 28, 2008 at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd. in Hayward. CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES (510) 471-3363
