George "Ernie" Schuyler's Obituary
George “Ernie” Schuyler
Ernie passed away August 19, 2022 at his home in Fremont, after a courageous battle
with Parkinson’s disease. He was born in Carmel, Ca and spent his childhood in Pacific Grove.
He served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Ernie received a Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering from San Jose State. He worked for 28 years at Great America in Santa Clara.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Calista and his sister Betsy. He
is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth, his sisters Nancy (Philip) and Georgia (Richard), his six
step-children, twelve grandchildren, his loving nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Ernie was an avid car fan. He loved hot rods and working on cars. It was a lifelong hobby
and he continued to attend car shows throughout his illness. He had a generous heart and
always took the time to help others. He was kind and patient, and had a great sense of humor.
He will be truly and deeply missed.
