George Charles Courreges In the afternoon of April 18, 2016 George passed away in Manteca, CA after a battle with Alzheimer’s.He was born in Oakland, CA on October 17, 1935 to Dorothy and George Courreges of San Leandro, CA.George spent most of his life in San Leandro. He graduated from San Leandro High School, and raised his family in San Leandro. He was an Auditor for the Bank of California for over 25 years. He traveled all over the world with his wife Madeline. He collected and traded stamps from all over the world his entire life. He was a die-hard Oakland Athletics fan, he and his wife enjoyed season tickets for many years.George enjoyed a long wonderful Masonic life he was a member of Oakland DeMolay. He is a Past Master of Sequoia Masonic Lodge #321 and later Secretary of Pleasanton Masonic Lodge #321 after the merged. He is a 33 ° of Oakland Scottish Rite and Past Patron of Eastern Star #103.George was preceded in death by: Michael Owen Courreges his first son and his Father George Christian Courreges.He is survived by: His wife of 60 years Madeline, Son Timothy William Courreges (Pamela) of Tigard, OR, Daughter Lynnette Susan Ovalle (Robert) of Tracy, CA Granddaughters Courtney, Michaela, and Isabella Ovalle of Tracy, CA. His Mother Dorothy Courreges of Castro Valley,CA, Sister Carol Simas (Ted) of Castro Valley, CA, Also many nieces and nephews.Private interment at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward, CA.
