George Yuen Chinn's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather. George Yuen Chinn died peacefully on March 25, 2017 in Castro Valley, CA at the age of 87. George is survived by his wife, 3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, 7 grandchildren, 3 grandsons-in-law, 1 granddaughter-in-law, and 4 great-grandchildren.George Yuen Chinn was born October 28, 1929 in a small village in China. He came to America with his parents at a very young age and when he became old enough to help he worked very hard at the family restaurant business in Nebraska. On March 6, 1951 he registered for the Korean War and served until July 9, 1954 and was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal. After returning to the states he met his wife to be Jeannie Kim Chinn and married in 1957. Then in 1964, they moved to Oakland California to start a new life. His occupation for 40+ years was a cook since he loved to eat.Services are scheduled for April 7th at 10:00 AM at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward, CA with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate George’s life.
