Somewhere down below or up in the sky? ‘I can’t be sure,’ said Grandpa, ‘but it seems they simply set up home inside our dreams.’Girwar “George” Bhatnagar, 89, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Fremont, California. He was born September 1, 1926 to Kamta Prasad and Kelawati Bhatnagar in Sikandrabad, UP, India. On October 11, 1953 he married Swaraj Bhatnagar in Delhi, India.Survivors include his wife Swaraj; 1 daughter – Renu; 2 sons – Anil and Ajay; 1 son-in-law – Pardeep; 2 daughter-in-laws – Manju and Marisela; 10 grandkids – Salil, Gaurav, Anjalee, Shalini, Shreya, Joseph, Priya, Alpana, Justin and Cristina; 4 great-grandkids Adrian, Riya, Ruhani and Rehan; 5 brothers – Kishan, Gopal, Jagdish, Onkar, and Brijesh; along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him.George enjoyed many things like gardening, listening to Hindi music and watching Wheel of Fortune. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.George always put the needs of others ahead of his own, touching the lives of many people with his generosity and smile and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. George will be missed!May he rest in peace!
