Gene Barnes' Obituary
May 8, 2008 Resident of Fremont Gene went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2008. He was 68 years old. He was born in Oklahoma City and was raised mostly in Hayward. He was in the Army for 3 years and settled in Hayward. He lived in Fremont for the past 43 years where he was a police officer of 15 years after which he was an independent truck driver for 3 1/2 years. He is survived by loving wife, Ruth; daughter, Sheri & granddaughter, Coryne. Preceded by son, Daniel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. Gene, we love you very much and we will greatly miss you.
