Gary Cecil Terpening's Obituary
Gary Cecil Terpening, age 85, peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on December 26. 2025, following a prolonged illness.
Born on March 29, 1940, in Sharon Connecticut, Gary was the beloved son of Everett and Ruth Terpening. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joanne Kirby, and his cherished son Jerry Terpening. He is survived by his sons, Mark Terpening and David Terpening; his former wife, Nancy Terpening; and his sister, Lois Heins. Gary was a proud grandfather to three granddaughters, three grandsons, and one great-grandson.
A dedicated and honest General Contractor, Gary specialized in building custom homes in the Fremont area for many years. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, and his life reflected his deep love for God. Gary demonstrated his faith through his actions and by teaching his family the significance of God’s word.
A memorial service honoring Gary will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, California, on January 17th, 2026, at 12:30pm.
