Gary Culver's Obituary
Gary Culver, 35-year resident of Santa Cruz County, was born in Alton, IL on February 27, 1939.Shortly thereafter the family moved to Oakland, CA. where Gary attended Oakmont High School and concurrently work with his parents in the Paramount Theater in Oakland. Upon graduation, he continued in the movie theater business for several years, and then for a time, became a radio Dee Jay in the Monterey Bay area. After some time he returned to his first love as an owner of a movie theater. From there he acquired and built multiplex theaters in Scotts Valley and Hanford, and later on added Capitola and Aptos.Gary’s cheerfulness and positive attitude were a delight to be around. This gentle man will long be remembered and loved for his upbeat personality by his numerous friends and long time business partner and his loyal and loving dog Ditto.We can rejoice in that he is now in the company with his parents again and playing the first-run feature combined with the Heavenly Choir of Angels.Donations in his memory may be made to the ‘);document.write(”);// End Hide –document.write(” + unescape(‘American%20Heart%20Association’) + ”);American Heart Association or Hospice.So long old pal until we meet again.
