Sunrise: July 26, 1948 Sunset: February 23, 2014Fungalei Loata Uikelotu-Tapueluelu, 65, of Union City, CA, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones, on Sunday February 23, 2014. Fungalei, known to her friends and family, as Loata was a strong woman with a heart of gold. She made friends easily and was loved by all those she came in contact with. She had a fun spirit and was so full of life; always happy and loved to make others laugh. She was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Union City Second Ward. She truly loved the Lord and enjoyed serving and helping others. Loata is survived by her 90 year old mother, her husband of 42 years, her 6 children and 23 grandchildren. Services were held on Friday February 28, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Union City, CA and she was laid to rest at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten. Fond memories of such a beautiful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother will be etched in our hearts forever.
