Fung Siu "Daisy" Li's Obituary
Fung Siu Li, better known as Daisy was born on June 20th, 1958 in Hong Kong. She was a daughter, a sister, a loving wife to Kin Ip Chan , and a wonderful mom of two, Sunny and Shuki Chan.Daisy spent a majority of her life in Hong Kong where she grew up and then started a short career as a seamstress. Sometime in her twenties, she eventually met her husband Kin Ip and they got married and started their own family. After being married for about 10 years, Daisy and her family moved to California where they raised their children and she primarily was a stay at home mom.Upon moving to California, Daisy started going to church in 2005 and met some of her closest friends during her time here. She spent every Wednesday night and Sunday morning going to fellowship and Church being surrounded by wonderful people. In 2010, Daisy was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and it was an ongoing battle with this disease for the past 6 years. She tried numerous types of chemotherapies all in hopes of being able to get better. It was this past March that her disease began to worsen at a much faster pace than anyone had expected it to. Her cancer had spread to her abdomen and the linings of her intestines. She was no longer receiving treatment and had tried alternative approaches to try and fight this. As Daisy began to feel more discomfort and pain, she was brought into the hospital in her last week and she was able to leave this world happy and at peace seeing everyone that she wanted to. She even was able to get baptized, something which she had always been meaning to do.Daisy was a very kind, social, and happy individual. She loved to travel, meet new people, see new places, try new foods. She loved to capture her memories whether it be taking pictures of places she was seeing or taking pictures of any new foods that she was able to try. When she wasn’t seeing the world with her friends, she was a great wife and mother to her family. She always put her family first with their best interest in mind. Daisy was a very strong and kind hearted individual and she will be sincerely missed by many.
