Freida Barham's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of: Freida Barham, born on September 20, 1920, in Fresno, California, to Michael and Rose Karle. She was the second of three children, Edna preceding her in death and Virginia currently residing in Vacaville, California.While in Fresno, she worked at an early age in the grape vineyards. Each summer she temporarily relocated to Northern California to work at Hunt’s Cannery. She graduated from Edison High School and worked at a variety of jobs until she married Edward Lust.They moved to San Leandro where they bought their home. They had two children, Donna Schwabenland of Pleasanton, California, who has preceded Freida in death in 1997, and Dianne Pastorino, presently living in Hudson, Ohio.Freida married James T. Barham and lived in San Leandro where James died in 1996.Freida is survived by her sister, two sons-in-law, James Schwabenland of Vacaville, California, and Tom Pastorino of Hudson, Ohio, four grandchildren, Michelle of Roseville, California, David of Elk Grove, California, Jeffrey of Livermore, California and Jennifer of Kent, Ohio, and eight great-grandchildren, Josh, Ryan and Adam of Roseville, Camryn and Joey of Elk Grove, Cheryl and Jack of Livermore, and Johnathan of Kent. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Timothy in 2015.Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, California. Flowers will be welcomed or in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
