FRED SCHAFFER's Obituary
Obituary for Fred Schaffer Fred Schaffer passed away peacefully on November 30, 2014 at the age of 91. Fred was a resident of Castro Valley for more than 40 years with his loving wife Mildred where they raised five children. They were married to for 66 years until her death November 2, 2007. He is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Patricia and Gordon Miller, Mike and Liz Schaffer, Cindy and Arlan Felton, Jeff and Tina Schaffer along with 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Fred had overcome the loss of his son, Fred Schaffer Jr. on May 14th 2008. He was very proud of his family and all of their many accomplishments. Fred was an Electrical Contractor in San Leandro for 37 years and belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union for 66 years. He was also a member and was very involved with the Mason’s and Shriners. He enjoyed waterskiing and camping with his family and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, December 7th from 5:00pm – 7:30pm and memorial service on Monday, December 8th at 10:00am. At Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home located at 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, California 94544, Mission Chapel.
