Frank Schenkhuizen Sr.'s Obituary
Frank Schenkhuizen, Sr. passed away at the age of 88 on May 20th 2017, in San Ramon resting peacefully after a long battle with various illnesses to finally succumb to respiratory failure. Frank Schenkhuizen, Sr. was born on November 16 , 1928, in Surabaya, Indonesia to Adolf and Mathilda Schenkhuizen. There he grew up with his four brothers and two sisters until political unrest and war consumed most of the island. At the age of 17 Frank escaped internment in Indonesia and joined most of his family in the Netherlands. There he graduated from a Technical College and worked at Fokker to become an Aviation Instrument Repair Technician. He met Emma in September of 1948 and they were married in August 1951 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Frank was the proud father of two daughters, Linda and Brigitte and one son, Frank. In 1962 he left the Netherlands with his young family to begin a new life in the US where he became an accomplished crafts- man as a journeyman machinist and welder. In 1969 Frank opened up his own business, Tridecs Corporation, which still thrives today. Frank Schenkhuizen, Sr. was incredibly passionate and proud of his family. He is survived by daughter Linda and (Jeff) Hawley, son Frank and (Barbara) Schenkhuizen, daughter Brigitte Saracco, five grandsons; Branden and (Tammy) Schenkhuizen, Spencer Schenkhuizen, Tyler and (Sarah) Saracco, Travis Saracco, and Dylan Saracco and one great grandson Max Schenkhuizen.
