Frank Wilbert Machado's Obituary
Frank W. Machado, former resident of Hayward, passed away in Fremont on December 7th, 2015, at the age of 94.He was born on March 12, 1921 in Salinas, CA to Frank and Edna Machado. He was a World War II verteran, who received the Purple Heart while serving his country. After the Army, Frank worked as a machinist before joining Lockheed, where he worked for many years.Frank was a kind, gentle and fun-loving man, who enjoyed woodworking and solving puzzles while watching Wheel of Fortune. He was an avid boxing fan and really enjoyed spending time with his family.He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Emma Machado, and is survived by their daughter, Linda Weidner; granddaughters Melanie Weidner and Melissa Gonzalez (and her husband, Armando); and great-grandchildren Julian and Jayla Gonzalez.Private services were held on December 14th, 2015, with interment at the Columbarium of Honor at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, California.
