Francisco Perez Tria Jr's Obituary
It is with great sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Francisco “Frank” Perez Tria, Jr. Frank was born on September 1,1937, in Samal, Bataan, Philippines, and passed peacefully on April 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
He was the pillar of our family—providing strength, guidance, humility, kindness, and an abundance of love. His steady presence and unwavering devotion shaped the lives of all who knew him.
Frank enlisted in the United States Navy in August 1959 at the age of 21 and completed his basic training in San Diego, California. Specializing in electrical maintenance, he quickly rose through the ranks, ultimately retiring as an Electrician’s Mate Chief Petty Officer (EMC). His distinguished naval career included tours aboard the USS Midway, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier, as well as the USS Firm and USS Woodpecker, both Bluebird-class minesweepers. He received numerous commendations, including multiple honorable service medals, Good Conduct Medals, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
After 20 years of dedicated service, he retired from the Navy in August 1978, with his final assignment at Alameda Naval Air Station. He continued his career in the private sector as a lead then supervising electrician for Kaiser Aluminum and Crown Cork & Seal, where he worked until his retirement in December 1997.
Frank is survived by his lifelong beloved wife, Marciana; his sister, Reynalda; his devoted children, Ronaldo, Reynaldo, Melinda, and Marie; and his loving daughters-in-law, Lyzanne and Diane. He was a proud and cherished grandfather to Vanessa, Nicholas, Francisco, Lauren, Jared, Brandon, Riley, Steve and Jeremy, and great-grandfather to Nathan, Joshua, Layla, Zoey and Cali.
His strong work ethic extended beyond his career into his home and family life. He was a driven, disciplined, and generous man who worked tirelessly to ensure his family had everything they needed. He always wanted—and strived—for the very best for all of us.
Loving husband, cherished father, endeared grandfather, and loyal friend, he will be remembered as a kind and giving man who welcomed everyone with a warm smile. He had a special gift for bringing family and friends together, and his presence touched the lives of all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
We love you!
