Francisco Lezada's Obituary
Mr. Frank B. Lezada passed away quietly on Friday, May 9th at the age of 82. He had a stroke in the morning of Wednesday, May 7th and was admitted to Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA. Frank was a long-time resident of Union City, CA and a Native of San Antonio, Zambales, Philippines. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 56yrs., Felomina Flores Lezada; Children: Jeff, Lynne, John, Francisco Jr., Joseph Lezada; Grandchildren: David Sr., Christopher, Stephen, Leilani, Ashley, Anthony, Neryssa and Kekoa Lezada; Great-Grandchildren: David Jr., Jalyn and Jomar Lezada. Frank retired from the US Navy in 1966 after serving 23 yrs as SD1, 1st Class Steward on the USS Intrepid. He moved his wife and children from Norfolk, Virginia to go west to California. He pursued his love to cook from the Navy to work at Eden Hospital in Castro Valley, CA. Franks hobbies included carving beautiful flowers and small figures from fruits and vegetables, cooking and the love of gardening. Frank will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially going to the casinos with his sons and grandsons to gamble their expenses. Visitation will be at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544. Viewing will be Wednesday and Thursday, May 14th & 15th, 4:30pm to 8:30pm with a Vigil, Thursday the 15th at 6pm. There will be a funeral mass at 10am at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 32223 Cabello St. in Union City, CA 94587. For burial we will return back to Chapel of the Chimes inn Hayward.
